This very rewarding and reliable herbaceous perennial has an upright, mounding habit of bright green leaves, topped by sturdy flowering stems of purple-blue flowers up to 70cm tall. Couple this with a flowering time from early summer right through to the first frosts, and you have a true winner to add to beds, borders and pots. Especially striking when combined with hot colours in mixed perennial beds and borders.
